Description

Our American Tulipwood is sustainably sourced from the best saw mills in the USA and planed at our factory here in Yorkshire. The timber is a paint/framing grade and is virtually knot free. Its very fine grain pattern makes it an ideal hardwood for painted finishes. Our tulipwood boards are kiln-dried to an average moisture content of between 9-11% and carefully stored in our heated and acclimatised factory.

Properties
A versatile hardwood that is easy to machine, plane, turn, glue and bore. The wood is very light (around 490kg per cubic metre) but is very strong and stable.

Durability
Slightly durable.

Typical Uses
Commonly used for painted kitchen cabinets, doors, panelling, mouldings, woodturning and carving, mouldings, interior joinery, construction and furniture. Tulipwood is a perfect cladding material because it is easy to nail and glue together soundly.
